The BD U-500 insulin syringe is designed with the BD Ultra-Fineâ 6mm needle to specifically support patients taking Humulin* R U-500 insulin. The BD U-500 insulin syringe is designed to help patients inject the correct dose by reducing the steps necessary to draw up and inject U-500 insulin.

• Bold scale markings: Bold scale markings in five-unit increments let you easily draw insulin to the prescribed dose, allowing up to 250 units
• Reduced number of dosing steps: The syringe is designed to reduce the number of dosing steps required to manually convert doses using a U-100 insulin syringe or a tuberculin (volumetric) syringe, helping to reduce dosing errors.
• Shortest syringe needle by BD: The 6-mm x 31-G needle is the shortest insulin syringe needle length currently available from BD.
